This privacy policy explains the types of information that we, VELDT, Inc. of 4-24-9-703, Kamiuma, Setakagya-ku, Tokyo, Japan ("VELDT", "us" or "we"), may collect and hold through VELDT LIFE ASSIST mobile application (and any improvements, modifications, enhancements, fixes, update, upgrades, and future versions thereto which are provided by VELDT) (the "Software") and/or the services provided by VELDT through the Software (the "Services"), how that information is used and with whom the data is shared. It also sets out how you can contact us if you have any queries or concerns about this information.

Applicability of this Privacy Policy

This policy together with our terms of use ("Terms") (http://sh.veldt.jp/sp/term) sets out the basis on which any personal information or other data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal information and how we will treat it.

This policy applies only to the information we collect through the Software and/or the Services and not to any information that we collect through other methods or services, including websites owned or operated by us, our affiliates, vendors or partners.

Information that we collect

We may collect and store personal information, meaning information that specifically identifies you or that is associated with other information that specifically identifies you, including:

  • your name, birth date, gender, email address and password inputted by you through the Software when you created your User Account,
  • location information inputted by you through the Software,
  • location data recorded by your mobile phone or other device, including real time geographic location of your mobile phone or device,
  • biological data including your body height, body weight, target body weight, body fat percentage, target body fat percentage, target calories consumption inputted by you through the Software, total calories consumption, activity calories consumption, numbers of steps, sleeping hours, and data regarding your quality of sleep collected by VELDT SERENDIPITY by way of measured data ("Biological Data"), and
  • data stored in your mobile phone or device or server which you allow the Software to access, such as schedule data inputted to your device, and activity data stored in the servers of other activity tracking service, etc.

We may also collect other information when you use the Software such as your device type, Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser-type, time and date of Service usage, device Identifier, carrier, referring/exit pages, clickstream data and similar information via online cookies, web beacons, or similar tools.

We may combine the information we collect with personal information obtained from third party sources.

How We Use the Information We Collect

General

We may use information we collect to:

  • provide you with the Services you have requested including displaying your data (stored on our server) on your device and to provide various location-based services such as world time service, compass service, and weather information service;;
  • verify your identity to ensure security;
  • contact you to ask for your opinions on the Software, VELDT SERENDIPITY and the Services and conduct product surveys; and,
  • facilitate and process your searches and requests for information when you contact us about VELDT, its products and services; and,
  • provide you with emails regarding our services, recommendations, advertisements and other communications.

Statistics

We may use your information to create anonymous, aggregated statistics, which we may share with third parties and/or make available to the public.

Product Improvement

We may use your information to develop and improve new and our existing products and services, recommendations, advertisements and other communications.

We may use personal information for other additional purposes. We will identify these additional purposes and notify you when we add other purposes.

Sharing of Personal Information

In general, we do not sell, rent or otherwise disclose personal information to third parties without your consent. However, there are exceptions:

We prepare anonymous, aggregate or generic data (including “generic” statistics) for a number of purposes as outlined above. As we consider that you cannot be identified from this information, we may share it with any third party (such as our partners, advertisers, industry bodies, the media and/or the general public).

You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data. Data Transfer

The data that we collect from you will be transferred to, and stored at, our servers located in Japan. From time to time, we may also share your data with other members of our group or third-party service providers located in jurisdictions around the world including courtiers outside of the European Economic Area (“EEA”). What you should do to protect your information

You may be asked to provide some proof of identification so that we can verify that it is you making the request. Any access request may be subject to a small fee to meet our reasonable costs in providing you with details of the personal information we hold about you.

Children

We do not knowingly seek or collect personal information from or about children that are under the age of 15 without the consent of a parent or guardian.

If we become aware that personal information that has been submitted to relates to a child under 15 without the consent of a parent or guardian, we will use reasonable efforts to:

  • delete that personal information from its files as soon as possible
  • ensure, where deletion is not possible, that this personal information is not used further for any purpose, nor disclosed further to any third party
